My cat went to vet Jan 16, 2019 and had labs checked and teeth cleaning. Supposedly everything was great. He’s been acting sick, tired, and like he was in pain so I went back to the vet today Jan 22, 2019. They told me he has a rupturing bladder and kidney stones leading to more lab work, draining of bladder, and a catheter placement. Due to the fact they couldn’t place the catheter and him needing over night care, I transferred him to my other vet clinic. They sprang new news on me that he has diabetes which probably caused his current life threatening state. Is this negligence? Could finding out he was diabetic 6 days ago done anything to prevent this? Why did they not catch this both times they ran blood work? What’s you’re advice to proceed if in fact it is negligence?
