So my girlfriend has a cat for about 7/8 years at this point. His name is Zeko a tabby cat and is always very territorial and shy towards others besides my girlfriend. However, today he has bitten in her leg in three different areas pretty badly and this is the third time he has done this. She did nothing to set him or provoke him, we were just cleaning and then all of a sudden he attacked her and I had to swat him away and put him in the basement. After we got her some antibiotics for the bite (she’s okay btw) we did research and think he has Redirective Agression Disorder and just lashes out when he feels anxious. She says since he’s done this multiple times she doesn’t thinks it’s safe to keep him and doesn’t know if she should euthanize him or give him to a farm. I’m here just asking advice and want to know what others think is the best option.
TL;DR- Girlfriends cat attacked her leg possibly for feeling anxious and has done so multiple times. Need advice on what to do.
