A couple of days ago my one year old kitty has started to have seizures. The right side of her face and body start twitching and spasming uncontrollably and she begins to salivate excessively and cry out. It breaks my family’s heart to see her like this and the vet has given us short term medication to treat her seizures. So far it seems to be working and she’s having a couple of them a day rather than every 30 minutes. They have performed blood tests on her today and the results should be back on Thursday so we won’t know the exact cause until then if there is.
Through internet research we stumbled up upon people using hemp oil to treat their own seizures as well as their pets, so we are considering on trying it out as otherwise we’d be relying on long term medication for her and hoping it’ll work. I came here for advice as I only want the best for my cat and if anyone has any experience with hemp oil that would like to share, please do. I’d also like to add that we live in the UK and the vets said they can’t recommend it because of the legality issue. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!
