Ok, this is my first post and I am not sure if I posted under the right sub-reddit.
Anyway, this happened today, and I emit it is some what my fault. So, my dog is a boxer/bull or pit mix, she's only a year old and wouldn't hurt a fly (OK,she would eat a fly but you get my point). I was sitting outside in my yard (no fence), and I decided to take her of her leash, I know, I probable shouldn't have done that, because she chases squirrels, cats and birds, but I was only going to be out there for a few minutes.
So, a few thing you have to know, me and my neighbors share a drive, and they have a lot of people coming to see them, so cars are always coming and going, it makes me unconformable, but whatever.
Back to the story, I was sitting there and the dog was just under my feet. A car came down the drive, no big deal she has never chased one, but for what ever reason she ran up to this one. There where two people a guy and a girl, who was driving, she was very nice, but the guy got out and started shooing at my dog, (not very helpful it just got her more excited). Here was my dog doing her little 'I am so excited to see you hop', this guy shooing and talking ( I say talking because he was not yelling but was angry) to her, I come up and tried to grab her, she does not listen to well (I am working on that) I get the leash on her, but when I was trying to do this, the guy said if she was to do that again he would killer her, she's my first dog and I have never been talked to like that before, I was scared.
Later in the day animal control showed up and hands us a piece of paper saying people had called them because the dog has be out run wild. She has been out off her leash when people where out there with her. The paper said to confined the dog to your property, that driveway is our property, the guy doesn't even live next door, and those who do are renting from my grandfather, and there dog is running around into our yard!
I am just mad, scared, and upset. I was worried some one would try to take or hurt my dog.
