For background, my cat is about 17/18 years old. She’s been apart of this family as long as I can remember. Lately, moreso the last 6 months she’s has been increasing her vocal activity. Her sister, who passed away January of last year, was showing signs near her end that my current kitty is. I know she’s old, and old cats tend to do weird things, however the second cat (who’s dead) never howled like she does now. I always catch her screaming at nothing. Like a door or something. And she keeps screaming until I walk in or she sees a family member, then she runs over to them and starts meowing at us. Is that normal? Is she in pain? I know she’s old, but if she’s in pain then I feel like I need to do something about it.
