I took in a stray cat back in November. He pissed in my bedroom in 3 different locations. Thankfully only 2 of the spots were on top of the carpet and I quickly hit it with Nature's Miracle. The other spot, however, must have been rogue because I didn't find it right away. I have tried a multitude of things and nothing works. It's an apartment and I can't rip the carpet up.
Things I have tried...
- Nature's Miracle Foam.
- Miracle Foam and soaked the carpet with it.
- Nature's Miracle spray.
- Nature's Miracle spray and soaked the carpet with it. (This resulted in my carpet smelling like cat pee scented Nature's Miracle)
- Vinegar/Water (50/50) in a carpet cleaner.
- Baking Soda in carpet with Vinegar/Water (50/50) in a carpet cleaner.
- Concentrated carpet cleaner
I am at a loss. The last time I tried something was with a concentrated solution (twice the amount of cleaner as recommended) and the urine smell was gone for about a week, then came back. The scent is strong enough that when I get home from work and walk through the door, I can smell it. I have checked every room in the house and it is ONLY in this bedroom where I can smell anything on the carpet.
