Last night he was fine, then seemed to lick something (I could be wrong) and started hanging his tongue slightly out, was making chattering noises, and was retching like he was trying to get something out of his mouth for a few minutes. He was and is still acting fairly normal considering all this.
This morning, he continues with his tongue out I've tried giving him water and a treat, but won't take it. He licked the treat and started gagging right away, once again like something was stuck ON his tongue.
What could this be? I'm not sure if he can wait for a vet appointment tomorrow, or if I should take him to the emergency vet ASAP.
