Recently, my female cat 🐈 started pooping in a few choice spots around the house, spots that don't include her litter box. She isn't that old at all, she's around 8 yrs currently, and she has never had an issue with using her box to do her business the entire time she became part of the family. It began around 2 months ago or so, when poop started being found every couple days or so, in the middle of the family room floor.. at the time we weren't positive that she was the true culprit bc we have another cat, he's a male and is pretty damn old these days tbh, so we kind of thought that he could be going senile and just not acting as sharp as he always has. Anyway, we ended up catching the female in action, since then she rarely goes in that room, but it's been found in the basement on a small rug, which is annoyingly the same floor/area of the house where both litter boxes reside, my mother's room, and now, more often than ever .. MY ROOM is seemingly her newest main target🤢. I've been making sure their litter is pretty much always clean, scooping both of the boxes at least twice a day🤭.. I've searched the internet for hours on possible causes, motives, solutions, etc, but nothing has really hit the nail on the head about any of the info I would love to have on the subject. Thank you in advance for any advice, ideas, anything that could be potentially helpful is good with me. Also, thanks to anyone who actually reads this way too long post in it's entirety 🙂
