I live in another state so I can't take the dog to the vet myself.
One of our family dog's nose been swelling up (not sure how long, mum just told me this morning). He's seems healthy and active other than that. The swelling comes and goes.
My dad doesn't want to take him to the vet because it's too expensive. We can afford vets no problem, we're quite comfortable. He just thinks an animal isn't worth 'wasting money' over it. Our dog's quite old, so my dad just want the dog to slowly die if the swelling is serious.
My mum's not taking him to the vet because she doesn't wanna upset my dad.
Is there anything that can help with the swelling to make the dog at least bit more comfortable without taking him to the vet?
It's not ideal, but I don't think I can convince them to take it to the vet. But I might be able to convince them to get some over the counter stuff to at least relieve the symptoms a bit.
I'm going to try to offer to pay for the vet, but I don't think that's gonna work.
