Do I need to hire a cat sitter?

So I live alone and have a six year old orange boy cat who I love to death. But I just got a new job that requires me to work more hours and also travel-not a terrible amount, but a handful of nights away a month. I’m also in a long distance relationship so I’m often gone every other weekend as well.

I’m starting to feel terribly guilty that I’ll be gone a lot. I do have my elderly neighbor check on him when I’m gone but she’s rather frail so I’m not wanting to ask her to do more.

So a very tiny part of me thinks I need to find him a new home so he will have enough attention but I really really want to avoid that. So I’m thinking a cat sitter would be my best bet.

I don’t think it’d be necessary for someone to stay the night at my place but I’d like someone to be here 2-3 hours a day maybe? He’s a very social cat so he likes human interaction and he has a tent in my yard that he likes to spend time in as he is an indoor cat.

Anyone else been in a similar situation? How much time a day would be best for someone to spend with him? Should I try a local pet sitting place, an app, or try to find and hire someone I like? I’m prepared to spend money on this but I have my limits on how much.

Any advice would be great thanks :)
