I've had my cat for 13 years and have never had a flea problem up until now.
A couple months ago, I had noticed that I was getting little bumps on my ankles and wrists when I would go to sleep. It was then then that I realized that I had fleas! Now I don't know why they started coming around all of a sudden, but all I know is that I have tried my best to get rid of them ( sprinkling borax on the carpet, etc.) So far, I've managed to control the situation fairly well, but I keep running into the same problem; my cat won't let me me comb her fur so I can get rid of the fleas on her. She's very sweet and is a great companion, so she's not a devil cat.I've tried everything to get her to stop being crazy. I've even resorted to bribing her with yoplait and chicken to get her to not claw my face while I am trying to treat her. I'm kinda at a loss.
Fellow cat owners who have dealt with a flea problem, how do you get your cat to sit still long enough for you to comb their fur?
TL;DR: Cat is being difficult and won't let me comb her fur for fleas.
