So, I have a cat from a previous relationship. I love her with all my heart. But I'm a very active person which keeps me away from home and I also travel for work more now too. I am always on the go. Especially now that summer is here I want to be out and about on the weekends too. I am not feeling great with how much my cat is home alone. It definitely impacts my life a lot. I will usually end up going home instead of staying somewhere to go be with her, which I think is the right thing to do. I would break if I gave her up, so I'm not really considering that right now. I use a cat sitter when I'm away for more than 24h. But my cat really doesn't like other people. If I'm gone for more than a couple days, even with a sitter staying at my house, she gets more and more reclusive and will slowly start to stop eating and will usually come running to me when I've come home and then the next step will be to catch up on eating after she's gotten some attention. I've tried 6 sitters now. The one I have been using is the best so far, but still not ideal. I almost want to double down and get another cat so she has a buddy? She is super needy when I'm home and is always right next to me. So, I think she is really lonely when I'm gone in general. Any suggestions?? Thank you for reading.
