I adopted my cat 3 years ago and recently moved to a new city. The city I moved to requires that all animals use 24PetWatch (my new puppy was chipped using their services). I can add my cat to my account, but the problem is that I don’t have her microchip number.
She was microchipped in the adoption process and my name and old address are associated it; however, after looking through her adoption papers several times I realized that they never gave me her microchip ID #. Is there a way I can obtain this number? Can I take her to a vet and have them scan her? I don’t think the shelter would have this info still because I adopted her so long ago.
