I’ll be a freshman in college living in dorms the first year where cats aren’t allowed, but after my first year i plan on getting an apartment. My cat is literally my best friend, she follows me everywhere, usually sleeps with me, sits in the bathroom while I shower, and just follows me everywhere I go around the house! She is not attached to anyone in our house but me, and is VERY skiddish with strangers until they’re around a lot. We have one other cat, but they don’t really get along and fight quite a bit. Would it be cruel to take my cat to my apartment after my first year of college? My parents seem to think it would be, but it’s not like her and the other cat are attached, plus cats get re-homed all the time. What is Reddit’s opinion on this?
