Hi all!
About a month ago, my husband and I discovered a cat hanging around our backyard. A few days later we saw the cat and a kitten she was with. The kitten was really young and couldn't climb out of my backyard, but it could climb our bougainvillea and it's been living there since.
We set out some food and water and the kitten has been eating everyday. It's been about a week since we have seen the mom cat and suspect that she abandoned the kitty.
We want to see if we can befriend and adopt the kitten but everytime we get out to the backyard, it runs up the bougainvillea! We are leaving the food near the tree and not bothering it tooo much as I want to gain its trust but it just keeps running away. Any tips on how to befriend the kitty? Thanks in advance:)
