So a bit of context, i used to live in my own place for about 10 months, got my little kitten at 1 month old and have kept him indoors for the last 10 months. I've moved back home with my parents and the cat can't stay inside (we have boarding students etc so can't have pet hair in case of allergies or serious reactions from residents). So, what I've done is 'kit' out the shed (has heating insulation and carpet, a really nice shed btw just about 1.5mx1.5m in size. The cat has been gocen its vaccinations butnjotbbern neutered(male cat at 10 months of age) The cat has been acclimated to the surrounding by keeping him indoor the shed for a week. After this time I've let him roam outside freely HOWEVER he's gone out multiple times and twice now I've heard him getting absolutely battered by the older cats around the area. Like I heard from inside our house and could hear him getting mauled so I jumped outside and couldn't see my cat but just another cat run away from the corner where screams were. He had a few scratches and all and he's been slightly upset (as much as I can tell he's upset). He's even stopped eating properly for 2 days since the attack. I've seen him eat one little treat and about half a pack of food (he also vommitted a small am9unt yesterday mostly liquid and very small but I am concerned).
how can I drop him being attacked? Is it because he's neutered? Is he not eating because he's been hurt? Only a few scratches but the sounds were literally terrifying and I'm a human.
Any advice would be helpful
