my male (fixed) 3 yo cat, Milo, has been taking to pissing/spraying in our house. he is an indoor cat and is accompanied by 2 other cats, one male and a female. i don’t know how long this has been going on, and i am honestly mildly embarrassed and hope our house hasn’t been smelling like cat piss for 3 years. i have thought over and over about what is causing this, and we will be taking him to vet to rule out medical reasons. 5 different fucking spots in the house. i’m cleaning them all with Nature’s Miracle Just for Cats at the moment. we have 3 litterboxes, and they’re all cleaned frequently. he does quarrel with our other male at times, but he’s normally the one that’s doing the beating. no new situations going on, been in this house his whole life. two things i want to note is that our other cats seem happy and fine. i know for sure it is Milo. he does have a craving for the outdoors, and will try to escape at times. we will be installing a pet door that leads to the patio soon, to see if maybe the in and out access at his disposal will help. in all honestly, i’m fucking pissed lmao. he’s pissed on my stuff, pissed in corners of the house. i don’t understand why. does anyone have ideas?? he is such a sweetheart and putting him down would break both me and my mothers heart.
