My dog is the worst at walks (advice)

I rescued a 4 yr old lab a few months ago. Me and my husband are in love with her already, shes sweet and house broken, but our walks are getting a little unbearable. She constantly pulls at the leash like she's trying to take off. We're at two walks a day now, one first thing in the mor ing and one after dinner. She doesn't always pull as bad but there's no real pattern to when she will and when she'll be fine.

I read that a good trick to correct this behavior is to stop walking when she pulls until she stops and focuses on you waiting to go again. When I try this I'm stopping every 30 seconds. Shes just not getting it.

Just thought I'd come on here and see if anybody could offer any tips or advice. We just got back from our evening walk and it honestly put me in a bit of a bad mood, lol. I really want walks to be casual and enjoyable for both of us!
