I just took in a 3 year old male (neutered) tabby and in the last i'd say 4 or so days I have noticed that when we play with him he turns into a horndog.
He really loves to play with a particular shoelace and whenever he catches it in his mouth he will haunch his back and like air hump (or seem as if he is trying to hump the shoelace) and then afterwards he'll lick his redrocket.This happens without fail every time I play with him. There is no kneading when he does this either.
I'll add that he is eating and drinking fine and from what I have observed he is using the litter regularly as well. And other than this his behavior is totally normal.
While this is hilarious to watch I am slightly concerned. His previous owner says that he likes to show off his peen at times but has never air humped a shoelace before. Any idea as to why he is doing this?
