Hello, I have spent the last six weeks wooing a cat that appeared to be dumped or abandoned in my street. After asking around the neighbours, no one claimed ownership and posts on my towns lost animals fb page didn’t find an owner either.
I set about gaining it’s trust and feeding it as well as placing a cat bed in my garage to keep it warm at night. It all worked out and for about a week now the cat has been living inside and loves being loved.
Here’s the issue. A few times now I have found the cat has pee’d on the rug thing that sits in front of the toilet. Little Kitty as we’ve named her hasn’t done this anywhere else in the house and goes outside for most of her business using the cat door our other cat uses.
Any advice on why she’s (it could be a male cat, unsure as she’s super fluffy) doing it and how to get her to stop. I’m super kind and gentle with her as I don’t want her to ever be scared of us and run off.
