My parents just adopted a dog from a shelter yesterday. He was a stray, estimated between 3-5 years old, covered in fleas and malnourished. We gave him a very good flea bath and treatment and he has a vet appointment set up this week. He's so timid and shy but such a sweet and gentle boy. My parents are not sure how to exactly go about house training him as he seems to lift his leg everywhere. They've kept him on leash with them in the house and crated in the evening. He's so used to going anywhere he feels the need to go, how do they go about potty training?
