thank you to whoever is sorting through new. this is my first long post.
i just moved back to college and spontaneously adopted a cat when a friend was giving away his litter. she’s about 7 months old and a little cutie. this is the first time i’ve been responsible for another living thing. but now i’m not too sure it was the best idea cause it feels like imma somehow fail at this. i really want to get it right though, albeit a little late on the research stuff.
the previous owner had already taken her to the vet and taken care of the majority of the medical needs. i got kitty litter, a sifter kibbles, a scratch pad, some toys, and bowls.
is there anything else i should get?
are there any advice from cat-owners that they’d like to share with a noob-cat-owner?
i’m also dealing with her crying at night hence why i am posting pretty late at night. i found somewhere that if i ignore her and don’t give her attention, then that’ll help her train to not disturb too much at night. it also mentioned to play with her a bit. any more advice?
i’ve also been reading that cats do well when there’s two, but i don’t think i’m ready to even think about getting another cat. any thoughts on the “two-cat-theory”?
thank you! sorry about all the lower-cases.
