so i own a black stray cat and we’ve had it for 4 years? and my mom and i love her so much. my mom never hits or yell at her EVER. but tonight my mom was about to go to bed and gave coco (my cats name) a kiss and i guess she scratched her face super bad and now my mom keeps hitting and scaring her by stomping on whatever coco is hiding under with a shoe💀 she was so scared its so sad:(. i really couldn’t do anything because i know im gonna get yelled at and i told her to stop but of course she didnt.. is this considered abuse? probably just to discipline her but i dont know i can hear her whimpering. she locked her in the bedroom so when she’s asleep im gonna let her out ofcourse but i feel super bad:(( what should i do?
