Any advice for how to move on after losing a pet to heat stroke?

Dani had been a rescue dog that I adopted in 2017. I had only had her for two years, but she had helped through more than I could ever ask for. She was my emotional support when I had nothing else. On Monday, she got back from a walk and couldn't move. I hosed her off and gave her water to cool her down, but then 10 minutes later she had a little seizure. Just a few seconds of shaking. Then it got more and more violent, so I had to rush her to the hospital. Two days later, the vets said her kidneys were failing and she had less than a 10% chance to live. It was the hardest choice I've ever had to make, but I chose to put her down. She had already had brain damage, bruising due to dehydration, and her liver and kidneys were failing. She was only 6 years old.

I took her time for granted, and wish I could just have one more day with her at her physically fit condition that she was at three days ago.

I'm struggling with my own failures and the loss of my best friend. What can I do other than grieve? How do I honor her memory? I will never be able to forgive myself for betraying her, and failing her. She stumbled home for help, and I couldn't help her...
