In about 4 days I will be leaving my 7 years old cavalier king to a pet sitter for about 13 days. He has separation anxiety. One of the things he does is that if we go at somebody's house that he doesn't know, if either me or my huband would go to the bathroom he would cry behind the door and bark. When left home alone we found ways to make things better with a kong and other toys to keep him entertained. My biggest worry is that one day the pet sitter is gonna open the door and my dog might bolt oustide and run away looking for us. Am I overthinking this? Is there anything I can do to help him?
