I’ve had my first cat for three years now and we just brought home a 3 month old chihuahua Pomeranian mix that my aunt couldn’t keep. We weren’t initially concerned because we have two dachshunds that the cat gets on fantastically with, but upon seeing the puppy for the first time she got down in pounce mode until we shooed her off. Then when she finally approached the pup she began the whole flehmen thing. The pup is about 1/3 the size of the cat and I’m concerned about her trying to hunt the little one as she is a active hunter with the rats and field mice in the area.
They cuddled together on the couch while I was eating, so maybe I’m being overly cautious, but I just thought I’d ask.
