2 days ago, my mom adopted a 3 year old Rat Terrier/ Chihuahua from some woman who was clearly neglecting her. Apparently this dogs never been outside and we suspect they were breeding her. She was filthy, smelled like urine and her nails are so long that it affects the way she walks.
Her nails are completely black and I dont feel comfortable cutting them myself. Not for the first time at least. And im not comfortable taking her to a groomer because this seems more like a medical issue. We made her a vet appointment for next week but i was wondering if I could take her do a vet now just for a quit clip. I don't want her walking around any longer like this.
TL;DR My moms new dog has really long nails that are clearly uncomfortable for her and I wanna know if a vet will cut them without an appointment.
