At home, I have a shih tzu mix who has a tendency to bark and sometimes growl at me from her crate when I am near my mom, dad, or brother. However, when I am home alone, she is quiet in her crate. She only barks at me when someone else is in the living room. She barks so much to the point that it almost sounds like she is crying most of the time. She doesn’t react this way with anyone else in my family but me. Has anyone had any experience with this or do any dog experts have a rational explanation for this? If so, how can I stop this?
Edit: she eventually calms down when I just sit down on the couch and mind my own business, but if I so much as stand up and walk around, she freaks out and starts barking again.
