The dog is a 3 years old, German Shepherd.
I want to preface this by saying that Simba (the cat) is a little quirky in his food habits. It's my roommate's cat and he is a very hands off owner other than pet, feeding, and cleaning his litter box. Some of Simba's quirks are that he likes to grab his food and throw it on the floor and then eat it. I am scared that the dog might eat the cat food since I have heard that cat food can develop kidney stones on the dog.
Have any of you have experience similar behavior? Is there something I should do about this? Is my belief that cat food causes kidney stones on the dog correct?
Also if anyone have general pointers regarding the dog and cat introduction/living I would greatly appreciate it!
