Hello R/Pets first time posting here and I’m on mobile so sorry for formatting. I have two beautiful blue healers so there’s a lot of fur already ._. that got out of the house last and got into a neighbor’s house where their dog had flees.... I went and bought a shampoo to kill flees but so far doesn’t seem to work. I also bought spray to kill flees for their things like beds, I’ve washed the toys and leashes and so on. I took them to the vet because some bites look really bad and they recommend shaving their hair which I am considering because they are so itchy all the time and I feel bad. So Reddit what should I do /.\ I don’t want my dogs to suffer, to restate I’m showering them every 3 days leaving the shampoo on them for a few minutes and brushing their hair everyday. Is there something I’m doing wrong? Something I’m missing... I’m new the blue healer family. Ive always had pitbulls (still do just one) and never once they got flees... so this is my first time dealing with flees and with dogs with a lot of fur ... P.S. I love blue healers so different from Pitbulls and smart kinda greedy for attention but ugh I love them so it makes me sad that they are so itchy
