Hey guys!
I'm wondering if I'm feeding my dog the right amount of food each day? He's a 5.5 year old corgi mix that weighs 20lbs. I only feed him two Ceasar wet dog food containers per the vet's request for him to lose weight. She wants him to go down to only 1 1/2 containers per day. But he seems so hungry all the time.
Online it says a dog of his stature needs around 500-600 calories a day, but two of the Ceasar's wet food is only 180 calories. And Ceasar's says that every ten pounds of adult dog requires around three trays of this wet food every day. Is this just a business tactic that I'm naively following?
