I need some advice. I’m not sure if my veterinary practice is useless and I need to find another. Anyway, my senior dog has a heart murmur, and all that was prescribed for that was a pain killer called pardale v tabs, which she was on for 3 weeks. This was in June. Gradually over a few weeks after being on that she began to eat less and less, slept more, and now she has barely ate anything in 3 days. She went to the vets yesterday, and now it turns out she is slightly jaundiced, which means there is likely something wrong with her liver and her minor heart murmur has apparently suddenly declined a little. As a treatment for the lack of appetite the vet has now prescribed Vivitonin, which she puked up within 30 min of taking. Is that even the correct meds? What meds should she be on? Please don’t say it is time to put her down, I want to try everything possible, she deserves that at least before I go down that route.
