I want to have a pet, but I don't know what kind.

Hey there, just a random question passing through.

I am still a student in school, and most of the time I am alone at home (Mom and dad works away)

It gets lonely down here, so I'm thinking of having a pet. I asked my mom and she said we can't have a dog or cat (we have a small house) and I do want one, but I don't know what animal to pick.

I have some standards for having a specific animal for a pet, but it's only for the better good (and my parent's standards too.)

The pet has to be :

low maintanance (I am at school for most of the morning and afternoon)

quiet (All of us family members like the quiet, although some sounds are ok)

Are Ok with getting left at home for a good period of time (like I said, school does take time out of home time)

Can be easily kept in a small space/enclosure (We have a small house)

Do not stink (a little may be fine, as long as it isn't overpowering)

That is all the standards I can think of in my head (my parents can be a tad strict about pets) and if you can, please comment down suggestions of what you can think of a good pet for me. Although feel free to tell me if I am too strict of my standards and I cannot have a pet until I am ready (provided with a explanation, please.)
