I’m desperate at this point. After 2 foreign body surgeries I don’t know how much more I can take. He will eat socks, underwear, bras, paper towels, any plush toy, blankets! When I remove all the issues he usually just finds something else to eat around the house that I wouldn’t even think of (like the bottom of my papasan chair). He has another male cat at home, they get along and play. He eats around 250 calories a day for a 8.5-9 lb cat which is a good bit. I’ve bought him a large cat tree, many indestructible toys and hammocks and scratching posts and he enjoys all of these but it hasn’t curbed the problem. If anyone has any experience with this or any advice I will try anything at this point. Thank you!
Other info that may help - he’s a 4YO male neutered grey tabby missing a front left limb (amputation). He eats blue buffalo pate chicken and turkey because honestly it’s the most calorie dense I could find. He eats a Purina hairball formula hard food that I throw all around the floor a few times a day so they have to find all the pieces. He also gets hairball greenies (last foreign body they said was a hairball but with all he eats, idk)
