Not sure if this fits here or not but I thought I would give it a shot.
So today my mom broke her fingers while walking our black lab. It wasn't anyones fault really but it got me to thinking: Are their leashes for people who can't properly hold one?
My mom has poor grip because of bad arthritis and likely had the leash wrapped around her hand for some extra gripping power. A sudden jerking of the leash probably pulled and ended up snagging her finger and breaking it because of the torque.
Does anyone here have any good suggestions for a leash that can maybe be held by someone who can't fully close their hands?
Its likely unless I can find a solution my mom won't be taking the dog on any solo walks anymore which is unfortunate because she absolutely LOVES doing this.
For anyone wondering: A dog in someones back yard startled our dog and caused her to kind of jump forward and it ended up yanking on the leash and pulling on my moms finger.
