My cat Tuna is a maine coon/Siberian mix and when I adopted her she was 4 and shaved due to flea dermatitis. She is 7 now and I haven’t had any issues until the last few weeks. Her back from the top of her spine to her tail was COVERED in hotspots and other icky stuff. She and my other cat are indoor cats but still regularly treated for fleas. We’ve spent just under $1000 trying to figure this out, she has no reaction to steroid shots and is currently on a regime of anti-itch medication and antibiotics. I don’t believe it’s allergies because her food could could only get more natural if I went out and killed it myself. While her skin is healing up quite well, she has spent over a week on the same stair. It has gotten to the point where I bring her food and water to her, and we’re takingr about a cat that sleeps on my chest every night. I am currently waiting on a biopsy from her veterinarian and we are on a wait list for a “cat dermatologist”.
But, the TLDR is my cat is isolating herself and I’m scared of what that could mean
