Ok, so I rescued a 4-5 year old cat a few months back, and everything was fine, and he had no problem doing all his business in is box, until recently. Approximately a month ago he started pooping on the same spot in the living room, over and over. He'll pee in the box no problem, but he absolutely will not poop. I used a litter subscription box when he started (he's been using it for about 2 weeks prior, though), I have since switched back to store bought. He had a little week long trip during which he pooped in the box no problem, but as soon as we were home he pooped in the damn living room. I even tried moving the box but he will just poop next/ in front of it.
Does anyone have any other ideas on how to make hil use his designated spot again? :-( Thanks!!!
