My incontinent cat accidentally pees all over herself, all over my home (not on purpose). Any non-veterinary advice (how to keep her and my house clean, for example)?

Most obvious answer is have the vet check her out. I’ve taken her to the vet several times. They can’t find anything wrong with her other than beginning signs of possible kidney disease, nothing warranting treatment. This seems like a physical thing—she’s basically just like an old person who can no longer control her bladder, and I’m not looking for something to fix/cure this condition (so I’m not looking for advice in changing her diet, water, meds or anything).

What I am looking for is help in managing this gross situation in practical terms. She always has wet hindquarters and she’s always leaving wet spots everywhere she sits. She doesn’t completely empty her bladder on purpose outside the litter box. She sort of just leaks all the time. She always wet and smells like urine even when she’s not wet. When ever I try to clean her with a warm washcloth or with commercial pet wipes (both of which she hates), the feeling of being cleaned/handled in her nether regions just makes her pee more.

Any advice on how to keep her clean and reduce the smell/mess this causes? Should I try giving her baths?

If she had a lot of other health problems (such as no appetite or was sluggish or in pain), I would simply have her euthanized, but other than this problem, she seems completely fine, so I’m not going to do that.

Thanks for listening!
