Hello! My dog is a medium sized heeler mix and has a very powerful chew. The issue is that he has absolutely awful teeth and bleeds all over hard chew toys, or cracks the softer ones in half and eats them whole. I've given him the hardest Himalayan Chew in the biggest size and he works on one spot until he can crack off a chunk (They're very sharp, by the way), then eats it. He cracks dental bones in half and swallows them. If I give him typical big dog hard chew toy bones like a Nylabone, he chews as hard as possible and always bleeds all over the toy before it's taken away from fear that he's actually hurting himself or going to lose a tooth.
How concerned should I be about the nylabones and similar chews given this? I do brush his teeth regularly and he has bi-yearly teeth cleaning where he goes fully under. There are no other concerns about his health and he does well with hard rubber chews.
