I will try and keep this short. I adopted my cat "smokey" just over a year ago from the humane society. He was approx 7 years old and in good health. Very good cat, very loving and affectionate. He occasionally peed on the floor beside his litter box. But it wasn't every day. Fast forward, I moved in to a new home with my BF and his two cats. Ever since about January he has been peeing on different spots in the entry way on linoleum. Freshly installed by the landlords. He also poops beside the litter box. He doesn't do it anywhere else in the house.
He is doing it every day now. I have tried everything. Different litter, added a litter box (he peed and pooped beside it) I have tried every kind of urine cleaner available along with natural cleaners like vinegar and baking soda. Tinfoil.. i cant place down entry way Matts because he pees on them. He will. Not. Stop. I am at my wits end, I really don't want to rehome him, he is perfect. But I can't deal with this every day :(
