This post may be graphic to some I just got off of work and was waiting to be able to turn on the road and I saw what looked like a black plastic bag flying around in the wind. I looked harder and my heart stopped when I realized what it was. The kitten had just gotten ran over and it's leg and body were frantically being thrown around but it's head was stuck to the pavement. I almost got into a wreck trying to get to it. By the time I got out of my car and was able to stop traffic it was dead. I picked her up and placed her to the side and had a really bad anxiety attack. My fiance came to calm me down so I could drive home. I called our cities number for the body because we live in an apartment and don't have anywhere to bury her and they said to just leave her there. I didn't know what else to do and I'm still so shaken up. I don't know why I'm posting this. Maybe for just support? It would've been different if she was killed immediately on impact. But who knows how long the poor girl suffered. I wish I could've been there a few minutes sooner. I feel like I could've saved her. I went home and gave my cats cuddles. One of the many reasons why I never let them outside. This was yesterday and I feel traumatized.
