Ignorant vet

To keep this plain and simple my cat lost weight and started to look ill so we took her to the vet. We had noticed that her stool and vomit had worms so my mum mentioned that to the vet. The vet just replied with a disinterested "mmhmm" whilst clicking on her computer, stood up took our cat (Never tried to comfort her) squeezed her kidneys and since on of her kidneys in her own words was "Slightly swollen" my cat suddenly has kidney disease and she suggested euthanising her.

I just feel really dissatisfied with the results, seriously? You ignore your patients owners, have terrible bedside manner and suggest I euthanise my cat for one slightly swollen kidney?

Of course I didn't euthanise her, she was sent away to spend a few days on a drip, she's home now, still seems a bit sick but is definetly eating a bit more.

Has anyone else experienced really ignorant vets?
