I notice on shelter websites near me they describe the cats, whether they’re affectionate or not, and whether they’d be good in a house with other animals or kids and what the cat likes most to do in their day.
I’m wondering if this is mostly accurate or if cats can change when out of a shelter? I’d never adopt a cat if it didn’t like something that’s in my life (no kids or other pets anyway) but I’d hope it wouldn’t turn out to have behavioral issues or be destructive. Mostly I wonder what to do because I am reading many issues that could arise are best addressed and trained when the cat is a baby vs when they’re an adult, and is that true? Thank you for wisdom on this.
