I started to notice something odd with my cat. Whenever I'm near her and her babies, she acts like a normal cat mom would. But, as soon as I turn around and walk away, she stops immediately and follows me around the house. Shell actually jump on my bed and wake me up. All while snuggling right beside me. Her babies will cry for milk, but she won't budge. But when I go over to the babies, she instantly starts nursing. I ended up having to put a towel on my bed and put the kittens on it, so shell feed them at night. It concerns me because I can't always be with her at all times and I don't want the kittens to starve.
I actually bottle fed the mother when she was a kitten because she was abandoned on the street. Is all of this just an overattachment? It maybe be super cute and all, but it's life-threatening to the babies.
