I’ll start by saying my cat is cute as shit and I love her very much. But she has recently decided she would do ANYTHING to play in a bowl of water. She’s about 3 months old, and when I first got her she just drank a lot of water (like, a lot) and never played in it. But in the past week she has developed her fetish. Our new routine is I take her empty water bowl, fill it up, put it on the ground, she lets out a blood curdling scream/meow, races at full speed, and dives into the dish with her front paws. She then spends however long it takes slapping every bit of water out of the bowl until it’s completely empty. She is so set on getting every drop out of there and nothing will stop her from her mission. I don’t want to leave her with an empty water bowl in case she gets thirsty, so eventually I fill it back up and the process repeats. Don’t get me wrong, it’s pretty darn cute (besides her ending up soaking wet after and me having to wipe her down before she gets on the furniture), my main concern is her constantly slapping away her water and then not having any to drink and getting dehydrated. Genuinely haven’t seen her drink any in a week.
