New adopted cat acting strange

This maybe totally normal, but I feel like I should ask. We just adopted an 8 month old cat yesterday. She had a pretty rough time for the first 5 months before she got brought into the humane society, out in the wild, and had a few minor injuries when brought in. While she was there, she had 3 illnesses that required medication that she seemingly got through. The 3 times we visited he in the shelter, she was skittish, but always happy to see us, and let us pet and hold her. We brought her home yesterday, and she has basically been hiding under the couch the whole time. That alone isnt abnormal I know, but she doesnt react to basically anything. You can pet her while she is under there and she just wont move. If you put food in her face, she doesnt even sniff it. Over the night, she did use her litter box, but didn't eat anything. Honestly I am worried she has some kind of undiagnosed psychological issue or something, but maybe I'm just thinking the worst? I guess I just need someone telling me its notmal
