I have a corgi puppy that will be 4 months old in about 2 weeks. Puppy is fine and lovely, I'm currently working on potty training and things are moving along. Problem is, i have noticed the lil cute ball of fur has a habit of eating her own poo. :( This is almost exclusively to when she is confined, but, im afraid ive seen her sample her product when she's gone outdoors too. I've read this can be a thing, especially for puppies, but was wondering if anyone else had experience/advice on keeping this from becoming a serious habit. I do my best to make sure she goes to the bathroom, I take her out for a break not quite on the hour but about every two (give or take if she's in a nap, if i hear her getting restless i grab her right Away/if just water or a meal it's soon after we go outside). I reward each outside bathroom product, and leash her and stand nearby until she goes. Sometimes i still seem to miss that important moment though, when she's gotta go. And then i get half eaten poops in the pen and a distressed pup. Thoughts? If it means anything, she doesn't seem to ever eat all of the poo and doesn't routinely go for it when she goes outside.
