Dog housemates fighting

Hello all, I am coming here in search of advice. I have a male lab/american bulldog or pit mix. He has gone through extensive obedience training which included a two week stay in the trainer's home. He has shown timidness and defensiveness toward other large dogs. Mild food aggressiveness when another dog is trying to eat from his bowl but tolerates others near him while eating. Recently my girlfriend and her two small dogs (a boston and minpin) moved in with us. The Boston continually tries to mount my dog and he has air snapped at him to get him to stop. Two weeks ago there was a quick fight between the boston and my dog and the boston ended up with a laceration on his neck. That wound has pretty much healed. Yesterday, assumingly while they were outside unobserved, there was another altercation because the boston has a similar injury on the other side of his neck. My girlfriend wants me to get rid of my dog because she says she cannot trust him. She claims he snapped at a small puppy while she was holding it. Am I looking at him through rose colored glasses or is there anything I can do to prevent her from forcing me to rehome or her putting him down?
