Flying, and an XL anti-carrier meow

My first time here, please bare with me.

The flight is scheduled for only 4.5hrs so its not horrible, I am relocating to another state within the USA.

I have found a vet clinic that says can do everything in one visit (health cert, documents etc).

Problem (my regret): the six years I've had this meow, I've never taken him to the vet. This is because I had no real reason to (he is 100% indoor) and I don't want to put him in a carrier if I didnt need to. He fights back, and hates being picked up.

30 days until I fly, and it's currently day 3 since I've introduced a carrier to him. I've kept the door opened in a spot he usually chills at, catnip treats and comfy item with his scent inside. He actually went inside on his own on the first day for 3 minutes and I thought he was a miracle. However, I haven't seen him gone inside after that. I throw treats inside it and hold treats near end to entice but he would only go in halfway and then use his claws to get the treat.

I wiped some parts of the carrier with Feliway and he seems to hate the carrier even more.

He also hates the harness.

This cat was a rescue and isn't really friendly with humans. Hissed at every guest and isn't interested in red dot, or strings. Not very playful but does have a preferred brand of treats. He will not approach you to eat it-- you must leave it somewhere far enough for him to feel safe away.

He is super bolty. Runs away at all movement and noise. I tried to throw a blanket over him to attempt Cat Burrito, he HISSED AND HISSED AND FOUGHT me.

What are my chances? Any tips? Do I have enough time to get him to acknowledge my sincere desire to behave in the carrier? I don't know what to do.

Edit: I have a soft carrier for him.
