I live in Australia and can’t find any results for this online. A mate i rent with is getting a motorbike and is adamant that he wants it left in the backyard. I have a dog and he’s still a puppy and like to rip random things apart and I’ve made my concern known to my mate I don’t trust my dog won’t rip something on the bike. And that the bike be left out the front. He doesn’t want to pay for anything to barricade the bike off from the pup and knows fully well that I’m not going to chain my dog up just because he’s got a bike. so my question is if my dog damaged the bike am I legally obligated to pay for it to be fixed?
